Uh...what did you say?

In the tradition of last year I'm continuing what I'll call for now "Did just hear/say that?" I was just walking past one of the dorm buildings two people were walking the other way. The chick had picked up the end of a hose that the maintenance guys had left hooked up. I heard her say, most likely to the guy that was walking with her, "Turn me on," meaning turn the water on. As a point of clarification she was pointing the hose towards a parked car of guys who had their music possibly a tad to loud. I could tell that she obviously didn't realize that as she was saying it that it could be taken differently than how she meant it.

However, as soon as those words were out of her lips the full meaning of what she said hit her. I personally was greatly amused at the accidental pun.

Unknowing Participant

I'm beginning to think that college dorms are nothing but psychological/sociological studies. Colleges have a the studies population each year literally signing up to unknowingly partake in this experiment. Obviously each schools sample size is going to be different and there will be some fluctuation from year to year Think about it, unless people arrange with their friends to be roommates they'll be placed with a random person. Not only that but a fairly large amount of people will be living in close proximity to each other. What I mean is that the rooms will be close and people are likely to make noise in the halls. People may also blair their music loud enough to be heard in the halls and through floors, walls and/or ceilings. Also, in some dorms there are shared bathrooms.

Now this thought may sound unethical, as it may well be, but it almost seems fun. That is if you aren't being a sub-uh- I mean participant. And no I'm not saying that colleges are actually conducting this hypothetical study. I'm just having fun with the situation.

It's eight a.m. do you know where your class is?

It just occurred to me that this is the first semester that I don't have any eight o'clock classes. That is a first for me in my relatively long college career. This may or may not seem like a big deal to you but to me it is. This qualifies as a big deal because I have been trying unsuccessfully for a few semesters to go without an eight o'clock class. This is my fifth year in college so you might imagine how relived I am.

Silly puppy...

Over the summer I've been living with my parents. Recently some younger people have moved in to the empty house next door. Well, my point is that the younger people are really irresponsible. The latest irresponsibility to the fairly long list is that they've recently gotten a black lab puppy. Do these people have a fenced in yard? Do the keep the puppy indoors? Do they restrain the puppy from running around free? No on all counts. This really annoys me to no end. Why? Because not only is it extremely irresponsible but it's also illegal. I think that people like this should not only have their pets taken away but also not allowed to ever have another animal, not even a fish.

All of this comes up because as my family came home from Wal-Mart earlier the neighbor's puppy came running up to us begging for attention. We just ignored it because it was wanting attention and if we gave it the attention it wanted and needed we'd only encouraged it to wander off.
